Salt Wine Bar

A stylish Portugese tapas bar in the notoriously bohemian Ossington strip, Salt Wine Bar is more than accomplished in making you forget how long you're really waiting in between dishes. Vivacious laughter and chit-chat fill the air with an overall giddiness as people dine over good wine and even better food.

We start with the Spanish olives, salty, fresh, and fruity. The calamari comes next, singed with perfect grill marks and tender in a chorizo and chilli vinaigrette. The risotto, al dente and just salty enough to balance the earthy mushroom pierced within. Then, the duck confit arrives in a rich, crispy coat covering its flaky flesh and sweetened with brandied cherries.

At this point we've downed two bottles of wine and enjoyed many a tapas, our bellies full and our minds awash in the freedom that is Saturday night.
